Rain alters baseball and softball playoff schedule | SCNOW

Rain washed out baseball and softball playoff games involving Pee Dee and Grand Strand teams Wednesday.

The Dillon and Hanahan Class 2A baseball game was the only one to begin but was called in the middle of the first inning with Hanahan leading 2-0. But because the game never finished an inning, it will start from the beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Other baseball games rained out were Lamar/Johnsonville and Chapin/St. James in the lower state and Ninety Six at Chesterfield in the upper state. Softball games rained out were Andrews at Dillon and East Clarendon at Green Sea Floyds in the lower state and Landrum at Chesterfield in the upper state.

All games will be made up today with the winners advancing to the upper or lower state championship games Friday.
