First Scrimmage.

The Wildcats entered into a scrimmage with the Hartsville Red Foxes tonight. Both teams had their good and bad moments and we know that one scrimmage doesn't really make or break your season. It does give you a chance to assess what you have and to see who is going to step up and be a team player. I have to say I like what I saw.
First off, Hartsville has an awesome team, coming into the season ranked #1 in 3A. They run the Wing-T almost to perfection. They are fast too. Dillon comes into the season ranked #1 in 2A and has the ability to dominate most teams this year.
Just a few things I noticed. I was impressed with #12, who I believe is Avery McColl. He is only going into the 9th grade this year. Also #35, Damu Ford, had some huge hits towards the end of the scrimmage. # 9 (Not sure what his name is) had some great catches. #7 and #82 also had some great catches. Got to get the OL/DL tightened up a little (and it will) and I think this year looks great for us.
Tara Grimsley
Oh yeah, almost forgot. We have a female kicker. Tara Grimsley, sister to former Wildcat kicker, TJ Grismley will be attempting PAT's for the Cats this year!!
