North South Roster

Congrats to Hishawn Blue and Coach Robbie Brown for being named to the 2012 South squad. The game will be played at Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach on Dec 8th.

What??? Playoffs already?

Welp, Dillon has come through the regular season in pretty good shape. They've managed to make it out with only 1 loss. Now it's time for the playoffs to begin. With Dillon winning their conference, that puts them as a # 2 seed and home field advantage for at least two games. Then, if Dillon wins and Timberland continues to win, it looks like another Dillon/ Timberland game for lower state. Dillon will have to travel to Timberland if that game materializes. Of course, Loris has something to say about that, so a Dillon/ Loris rematch could be possible in the 3rd round. I think that could be a difficult game for Dillon to win. Either way, Dillon is at a point where they must decide what they want. To play or go home. I've yet to see an inspired Dillon team this year.  With no Jabo Lee and no dominant passing game. We seem to have gone back to relying on our power running game of yesteryear and the spread fun and gun offense that we've come to love over the past few years has all but dwindled away. I hope that Dillon will really buckle down during the bye week and come out focused on the goal. The goal of State Title.  GO CATS!!

Dillon 43 Waccamaw 7

Dillon ends the regular season with a win over Waccamaw by a score of 43-7. Dillon will have a bye next week as round 1 of the playoffs begins.

The season is quickly coming to an end. It seems like it just began and the playoffs will be here before you know it. But, before we look ahead, we still have to take care of the following two games. The first game brings us to the Loris Lions, a team that has a 6-2 record overall and 3-0 in the region. That means we're tied for 1st place in Region 8-2A making this an important game for both teams. While Loris is averaging 28.62 ppg, Dillon is averaging 38.5 ppg but Loris leads Dillon in points allowed @ 7.75 ppg to Dillon's 8.25 ppg. With the possibility of Jabo Lee returning, hopefully Dillon can generate enough offense to pull this one out. Don't forget, this is the region championship game so I hope to see the stands full of Black and Gold Friday night.

Game Time: Friday 10/19/2012 - 7:30 PM @ Loris

Weather at Kickoff: Partly Cloudy
Temp: 65-60 Degrees
Dew Point: 57 Degrees

Dillon 41 Marion 7

Dillon vs Marion: Gamewatch

It's really starting to feel like football weather. It will be kind of chilly tonight as the Marion Swamp Foxes roll into to town but it should heat up quick as Dillon looks to light up the scoreboard.

Game Time: Friday 10/12/2012 - 7:30 PM

Weather at Kickoff: Mostly Clear
Temp: 60-65 Degrees
Dew Point: 50 Degrees

Congrats Damu
