STATE TITLE GAME: DILLON VS FAIRFIELD CENTRAL

This is what High School Football is all about. Getting to play for the state championship. Since August, high school football teams all around have been practicing and preparing to make a run to the state championship game. Dillon has seen that dream come true 5 out of the last 6 years and accomplished the goal of bringing home the trophy 3 times out of the last 5 years. On Friday night at Benedict College, Dillon will return to the state title game to take on the Fairfield Central Griffins, a repeat of last years title game. This year there are probably no underdogs. Both teams are capable of winning. Fairfield will come in with an unblemished record of 13-0. Dillon has a record of 11-2. Their two losses came from Mallard Creek, a NC 4AA team that is nationally ranked and is playing for the lower state championship this week and Marlboro County, a 3A powerhouse that was put out of the 3A Div lower state championship  last week.
