Here we are at the end of another season. One game left. The State Title game, This is where we want to be at the end of every season. This is the goal. Well almost the goal. I guess the true goal is to win the state championship game. So............the final goal is set before you. The opportunity is there. What will you do with it?
I would love to write a big article and break down the game with stats but time is not going to allow.
As coach Jackie Hayes said in an earlier article this week, Dillon's Offensive and Defensive lines will have to get down in the trenches. Newberry's O line averages around 270 lbs. while Dillon's D line only averages around 232 lbs. Newberry has a strong ground attack. Dillon will have to disrupt Newberry's timing. They must break through the initial push of Newberry's line and try to get into the backfield and wreak havoc. Tackling will also will have be key. Dillon must wrap up the big backs of Newberry and bring them down. The Cats D must not allow the backs to drag them for extra yardage. Get them down at the point of contact.
For the offense, they must continue to do what they have done all year, Score. At every opportunity they must score. To do that, execution is key. Dillon will have to release all weapons on Newberry.
Dillon will have to play the best game they have ever played, especially on the defensive side. So that about wraps it up Cats. Be Ready and Play NASTY!

I will try to add links to articles about the game so check back soon.
