Dillon will once again play a team that they have already played this season. This time the Waccamaw Warriors will have to make the 2 hour trip to Dillon. Dillon traveled to Waccamaw two weeks ago to take on the Warriors. The Cats came out victorious by a score of 47-7. Coach Davis, Waccamaw head coach, says his team is excited to play Dillon again and that hopefully his players learned some things from the previous game.
Waccamaw has a stingy defense and one that can create havoc by forcing turnovers. The Warriors recovered 2 fumbles against Lake Marion Friday night that they turned into 14 points. Waccamaws only score against Dillon was a fumble return for a touchdown. Dillon must stay focused on the team that they are playing and not look ahead to other opponents. Waccamaw will bring out all the trick plays, onside kicks, fake punts and everything else to put points on the board. Much like we saw against Aynor last week.
What Dillon must do:
Offense:
Continue to do what they've done all season long. No one has stopped them yet. Protect the ball. The coaching staff has done a tremendous job planning for and calling each game.
Defense:
The defense has stepped it up. It's time to turn it up another notch. While this week shouldn't be a great test for the defense, it's time to play like you're in the championship game. Give it all you have. Play more aggressive. Play NASTY!
