Well Guys and Gals..........It's finally here! The end of high school football season, which means the state title football game, and a rematch of last years title game with the Newberry Bulldogs. Newberry has said that they were nervous and overexcited about playing in last year's state championship game and vows to play a much better game this year. Coach Jackie Hayes vows not to take Newberry lightly as this will be the toughest opponent that Dillon has faced all year. Newberry brings back senior quarterback Yafari Werts, a Georgia Southern commit, that is a great athlete and can make things happen for the Bulldog offense, especially when he gets out in the open field. Werts has improved as a passer this year with two long passes going for touchdowns last week to help seal the win against Fairfield Central in the upper state championship game. Dillon will really have to play their A game Friday night if they expect to come out victorious.
